How long will my clothesline take to arrive?
At The Clothesline Store, we ship faster and more reliably than anyone else in Australia. Why? Because we hold a huge range of
products in stock at our own national distribution warehouse—no middlemen, no
delays. In-stock items are dispatched either the same or next business day.

Can the clotheslines be used outdoors?
Yes, you can use a portable clothesline outdoors! Many are specifically designed for indoor and outdoor drying, crafted with durable materials like galvanised steel, aluminium, and UV-resistant plastics to withstand harsh weather conditions. However long exposure to the harsh elements will take the toll on the products.
However, if it’s particularly windy, we recommend either bringing the clothesline indoors or securing it firmly with weights or sandbags to prevent it from tipping over.
Keep in mind that some smaller models, like the Brabantia hanging rack, is intended for indoor use only. Be sure to check the product details and user manual for guidance to ensure you’re using it correctly.
Do the Portable clotheslines require assembly?
The majority of the portable clotheslines require assembly, we have videos on how to do this for the Hills products in our How To section by clicking here.
The products specifications will show if the product requires assembly or not. If you are still not sure, feel free to contact our support staff.
Services like Hire a Hubby or a local handyman may be able to assist also.
Can the units be folded flat for storage?
Yes, all the clothes drying racks we stock can be folded flat for easy storage, except for the SkyDry. The SkyDry’s arms can be folded down only to save space.
The Hills Portable includes a hook that can be used over a door or fixed to a wall for convenient storage.
The Artweger Twist 140 also features a wall storage system, allowing for easy and compact storage.
The Brabantia Over the Door is compact and designed for easy storage, making it perfect for smaller spaces.
The Daytek can also be folded and placed behind a door or against a wall.
Can I hang sheets on the clothesline?
Yes! The Hills 170 & 120 Portable, Daytek A-Frame, and Skydry are all designed to accommodate sheets. In some cases, you may need to fold the sheet to fit.
While many clotheslines can hold sheets, not all are specifically designed for it - so they may not offer the same capacity or support for larger items.

Can I pickup my clothesline?
Pickups are not available for Portable Clotheslines.

Do you offer an installation and assembly service?
At The Clothesline Store we do not offer an installation or assembly service for the portable Clotheslines. we recommend contacting a local handy man in your area.
